This world offers a lot of stuff to cause people to stumble (browse in the Internet for a while will give us a bunch of examples) and the people who are behind it should fear the consequences they will receive. But we too, christians, should check if our acts aren’t causing fellow brothers to stumble.
Romans 14:13 “Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.”
The advice to rip off what makes us to sin is an extreme warning about how much we should detest sin.
Galatians 5:16 “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.”
As we get to know the Lord more and more, his love, sacrifice for us and the blessings we receive each day; we will find hapiness in living the way he commands us and we will also care about our brothers and sisters.
Romans 14:19 “Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.”
May God give us strengths for the battles we face, and the reminder of his love and the sacrifice of his Son for us might help us to obey him, care for others and be a good example to them.
