Jesus was right and he could have refrained from paying, but he paid to not offend others.
Sometimes we can be right but we will have to comply to others… of course, when that action is not against God will (pay the temple tax didn’t meant that Jesus was sinning against God).
May God gives us wisdom to avoid acting just to show that we are right, but to act based on what will lead to peace and mutual edification. 😀
Romans 14:19 “Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.”
